The maximum permitted energy use for a building is regulated in the housing authority's building regulations.
However, demands come from several directions. Examples are that environmental certifications set ever tougher requirements and in other cases investment support is issued with requirements for maximum permitted energy use.
In order to meet requirements, energy is needed more and more often, and the indoor climate is evaluated with a higher degree of detail earlier in the design of construction projects to avoid unpleasant surprises.
We offer coordination and follow-up of all energy-related aspects in the various phases of a building project. It includes energy balance calculation, indoor climate, follow-up of energy use and verification of energy requirements.
The most important function of a building is that it meets the comfort requirements that the user expects. It can be, for example, the right temperatures indoors, the avoidance of cold drafts, glare and strong direct sunlight.
The occasions when indoor climate analyzes may be required to be produced are for environmental certifications, for example the Swan or environmental building. But if there is an obvious risk of solar heat loads or a risk of frostbite, there is reason to study the relevant spaces and ensure a good indoor environment.
We work closely with other consultants, for example VS, to ensure correctly dimensioned installations with regard to the indoor climate in order to obtain a good indoor environment that meets the requirements according to the desired certification systems.
